LUMBAR STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the lumbar paravertebral muscles in specific angles of the patient’s range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 72°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.

CERVICAL STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the cervical paravertebral muscles in specific angles of the patient’s range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 136°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.

KNEE STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the extensor and flexor muscles of either/or both legs in specific angles of the patient’s range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 120°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.

NEUROCOGNITIVE EVALUATION

MEDEX has, among its available equipment, the Dynavision D2 which is an excellent tool for the evaluation of head injuries, contusions and visual field deficits. It also evaluates people and even athletes and develops their ability to react upon various circumstances, to be proactive in tracking, more skilled in the decision making process and improve their peripheral awareness and the cognitive process.

GAIT ANALYSIS

The Gait Analysis is a measuring system which allows us to clearly and objectively observe and describe the walking (or running) process of a person in order to evaluate the possible causes that may produce alterations, and plan treatment strategies which will improve or correct such alterations. It is directed to all those people who have walking disorders, whether they are neurological or muscular, congenital or acquired, as well as for the evaluation of athletes who wish to improve their performance through the recovery or prevention of injuries, sports medicine, research, biomechanics, rehabilitation methods implementation, and even prosthetics and /orthotics.

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

Parameters that it measures:

Weight, skeletal muscle weight, fat weight, total body water. Fat-free weight.

Anthropometric Diagnosis:

Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat percentage, hip-waist ratio, basal metabolism. Muscle-fat control. Segmented graphic analysis, segmented muscle weight (values in Kg, percentages and evaluation).

A nutritional specialist will interpret the results of the body measurements and also will offer some specific nutritional recommendations for each person, according to the test results.
